Billlie Tsuki Imitates Anime Character Zero Two, Goes Viral for 1-second Clip
On July 15, Billlie Tsuki and LOONA Chuu were introduced as special guests for the Naver NOWs show, "School Nurse, A Bro I Know." The program is hosted by actor Joo Woojae and comedian Kim Yongmyung.
During the broadcast, the so-called "Chuuki" duo explained that they appeared on the show not because they had concerns but to give tips for students on summer breaks regarding part-time jobs.
The two female idols particularly attracted attention for their natural chemistry, who even decided to schedule a PC cafe date amid broadcast after finding out they are both game enthusiasts.
As the show continued, Tsuki was asked about her specialty, to which she responded that she could imitate anime characters, although she's not very confident about it.
When the MCs asked her to show a little bit of her hidden talent, Tsuki then imitated Zero Two, the main character from the 2018 anime "Darling in the Franxx."
The Japanese-born idol particularly did Zero Two's iconic line, "Darling, Ohayo!" which she digested perfectly from the tone, visuals, and expression.
On July 27 then, Tsuki became a hot topic on Twitter after her 1-second clip doing the famous line of Zero Two was uploaded by an internet user.
The author of the post wrote:
"Darling, Ohayo! I really think I'm going crazy, (It's a) legend."
As soon as the clip was uploaded, it immediately gained attention from internet users, and on June 28, the video gained about 393,000 views, 23.2k likes, 23.8k retweets, and about 4k quote tweets.
Surprisingly, most of the comments were written by Korean, showing her massive popularity in the country, not to mention the support she's gaining from her foreign fans as well.
Most of the comments say:
- "Tsuki is really pretty."
- "This should be spread further for the public good."
- "I have to watch this every morning."
- "She looks like a real anime character."
- "Tsuki is a living anime character."
The video also reached non-K-pop fans, and they are all praising the female idol.
