After the fans' boycotting the event, SM Entertainment has officially changed the venue for SHINee's 15th anniversary fanmeeting.
Here are the details.
SM Entertainment Switches to Bigger Venue For 'Everyday is SHINee DAY: Piece of SHINE'
On May 4, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding the venue updates for SHINee's 15th anniversary fanmeeting.
Initially, "Everyday is SHINee DAY: Piece of SHINE" was set to be held on the Korea International Exhibition Center, or also known as KINTEX, located in Ilsan.
However, the venue conditions didn't sit well with Shawols, as complaints regarding seating arrangement began to circulate online.
Fans pointed out the venue's levelled seating format, with all of it being levelled and not elevated. The concerns eventually reached out to SM Entertainment, who released an official statement on April 29. In their statement, SM addressed their concerns regarding the venue.
With the ongoing heat, SM then decided to move the event to a new venue. In their statement, the fanmeeting will now be held on Jamsil Arena in Seoul, which features a bigger capacity than KINTEX.

SM Entertainment Alleviates Concerns of Shawols Through Official Announcement
On May 1, SM Entertainment attempted to resolve the situation regarding the seating arrangement. They also explained the reason for the venue's finalization.
SM disclosed the decision to choose KINTEX was based on a venue's location availability that can accommodate at least 5,000 people, with the schedule being on a weekend. Factors such as the members' schedules and fans' vacant time.
The agency also enumerated solutions for visibility concerns. SM revealed that additional upgrades will be included, such as screen installations, moving carts, and a C stage.
"We found out that the rental was a venue that could provide accommodations for at least 5,000 attendees on a weekend. Initially, there was already a location planned, but our rental was declined because of the venue's unexpected conditions."
"This led us to confirm that the Ilsan Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) was the only place that matched our program."
