On August 28th, the official Instagram account of SM Entertainment's upcoming boy group, RIIZE, uploaded a series of photos to their Story, showcasing the seven members in a simple yet enigmatic setup.
The images captured the members standing before a plain white wall, their expressions void of emotion but their distinctive features pronounced even from a frontal angle.
Unconventional Hairstyles Raise Eyebrows Among Fans
Of particular note were the hairstyles, which drew attention for their unconventional nature. Certain members were seen with hairstyles reminiscent of ponytails, a choice that raised eyebrows among fans.
Additionally, others were styled with wet hair, a look that some described as somewhat outdated. Member Sohee's appearance, with a large cap covering his forehead and eyebrows, also drew criticism for creating a somewhat stifling atmosphere.
Despite the styling debate, anticipation for the group's debut remains high. RIIZE is set to officially introduce themselves to the K-pop scene with their first single album, "Get A Guitar," scheduled for release on September 4th.
As the date draws nearer, fans and onlookers alike are curious to see how RIIZE will present themselves not just musically, but visually as well.
