NewJeans Minji Garners Attention Following Interaction With Anti-Fan
On February 5, 2024, an anti-fan sent a hate message to NewJeans member Minji through their fan communication app, "Phoning."

The anti-fan, who went by the name Kyu Ji Min, left a message to express their dissatisfaction with the female idol. In a short message, she stated, "Minji, I hate you."
In response, Minji replied with a smiling face emoji, with the hand covering their mouth as if she were stiffening her laugh. The idol proved she was totally unbothered by the comment.
The screenshot was shared online, with people praising the female idol's carefree personality. In particular, Minji went viral in China. A fan shared a screenshot of the interaction on Weibo, China's biggest social media platform.
The post garnered thousands of views, with people praising Minji for her calm and cool response.
This is not Minji's first time showing her savage attitude towards hate comments. Back in December, Hyein and Minji held a live stream on "Phoning." During the live stream, the two spotted a commenter telling Minji to "go die."

Hyein appeared shocked by the comment, but Minji kept her cool. Instead of interacting negatively, Minji was seen screenshotting the comment, most likely to take legal action against the commenter.
The two then issued a warning to their viewers, saying they saw all sorts of comments during their live. They saw the comments that hurt, but noted that the positive comments helped cheer them up.
