IVE Upcoming Lollapalooza Appearance Sparks Heated Debate Among K-Netz
On April 16, 2024, a post titled "IVE is in trouble" was shared on the popular South Korean online community forum Nate Pann.
In the post, the original poster (OP) shared screenshots of people discussing IVE's upcoming performance at Lollapalooza. Many believed they would become the "next LE SSERAFIM," as the members have been criticized for their live vocals during encore stages in the past.
It was noted that Korean LE SSERAFIM fans, also known as FEARNOTs, were anticipating IVE to fail at the music festival. They believe that following LE SSERAFIM's backlash over their live vocals going international, any idol group that gets into a controversy over their singing will get immensely bashed. It was also pointed out that now it is unlikely that fans defending them will work.
They also pointed out that since IVE will be making a comeback this month, more people will tune into their encore stage to see how they sing live.
K-Netz Weighs In On The VE Lollapalooza Discourse
After the post went live, netizens rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts. Contrary to what the OP posted, most netizens do not believe IVE will have a problem performing live.

The girls were also praised for their vocals during their recent concert, with Ahn Yujin and Liz especially earning applause for their stability. It was also noted that Leeseo, Rei, and Jang Wonyoung are able to accomplish their vocal parts well, while Gaeul excels at her rapping.
Because of that, they do not believe IVE will be in any trouble.
