Footage of LE SSERAFIM once calling themselves "masters" of their craft has surfaced, sparking immense backlash.
The K-pop community has been busy these past few days, ever since LE SSERAFIM performed their debut stage at Coachella. While praised by international publications for their energy and stage presence, netizens have slammed the girl group for their shaky and unstable vocals. As representatives of K-pop, people claimed their performance "embarrassed" the nation.
Now, they are being slammed for their "arrogant' attitude in a previous show appearance.
LE SSERAFIM Calls Themselves 'Masters' Of Their Craft
Back in February 2024, LE SSERAFIM appeared on Park Myung Soo's web show, "Halmyungsoo."
During their guest appearance, they visited the comedian's "rest house," ordered all the food they wanted, and comfortably spoke with Park Myung Soo on a variety of topics.
One of the topics they landed on was LE SSERAFIM's performance and how it ties to their latest single, "EASY." Leader Chaewon noted that if you look at their performances, it looks easy to perform.
However, she stresses that their performance, from singing to choreography, is not as easy as it appears.

The reason it looks that way is because LE SSERAFIM makes it look easy because of how much effort they put in. Thus leading to the song "EASY."
Huh Yunjin agreed with Chaewon, saying that if someone makes it look like their work is easy, it is because they are good at what they do. She stated they are masters of their craft.
At this, Park Myung Soo asked the girl group if they were masters of their craft. To this, Chaewon confidently responded, "Yes, you can see it that way."

This rubbed people the wrong way, especially since LE SSERAFIM started earning backlash for their vocals during their "EASY" encore stages. Now that they are earning backlash for their lackluster Coachella performance, people are slamming how cocky they were and even claiming they should be sued for scamming.
Netizens claimed that saying something so confidently was unnecessary and would obviously get them hate. Others noted that other artists, who worked just as hard as them, have never said something so "shameless." With all the drama they are facing, people are saying they are embarrassed of LE SSERAFIM.
Some comments read,
- "Karma really hit them hard."
- "The fact that they are in front of Park Myung Soo, a huge senior in the industry, and are talking so shamelessly is impressive in itself."
- "Why are LE SSERAFIM always saying unnecessary things that get them hate? If they only learned to stay still, they wouldn't get half the hate."
- "They are scamming us. I really miss the second generation. Back then, they also got hate, but not because they weren't talented. They actually sang live."
- "Even After School, who practiced pole dancing, never said anything so shameless."
- "They actually think they are masters of their craft? That's embarrassing."
