On April 19th, the fashion magazine ‘ESQUIRE Korea' released a video titled ‘The hardest choreography for BoA to dance?' on its official YouTube channel.
During this interview, BoA shared insights into her experience producing 'NCT WISH,' describing the challenge of uniting diverse talents within the group.
She remarked, "First of all, I think the biggest mission was to make sure that these people were united well. In fact, they are not people who have been training together, so they are all mixed with those who have practiced for a long time and those who have trained for less than a year."
BoA's Comfort in Being an MC
When questioned about her versatility beyond singing, BoA revealed,
"Being an MC is more like 'BoA' to me than being a judge. I'm not that harsh. But the judge has no choice but to say bitter things for the future of the contestants. Every time I did that, it was really heartbreaking. But the MC can just say, ‘You're good, you're good,' so I feel more comfortable."
BoA's Love for Fans and Future Plans
Expressing her love for her fans, BoA shared her efforts to reciprocate their support.
She mentioned, "Don't we always receive goods from our fans? I wanted to give them something. I wanted to give gifts to the fans who came to see me at all three music shows, but the production came out late, so I could only give the t-shirt to selected people. I worked hard packaging them."
In a heartfelt message to her fandom, BoA expressed gratitude, saying,
"Jumping BoA (her fandom name), thank you so much for always silently supporting and loving everything I do, and thanks to that love, we will come back with better music and better activities."
Meanwhile, BoA sparked speculation about her future in the music industry with an Instagram post. In the post, she questioned leaving once her contract ends, which led some fans to interpret it as a hint at retirement.
However, it was later clarified that she used a term not commonly found in dictionaries, deepening the mystery. Fans and netizens speculated on its meaning, with some suggesting it referred to leaving the gym or being a typo for "retire."
Various reactions emerged online, with some expressing gratitude for her contributions and others voicing concern or confusion.
BoA's recent appearance also stirred discussion online, with some questioning if it was really her. Despite the rumors, BoA continues to actively promote her music, with her latest single "Emptiness" released on March 26.
