HYBE Suspected of Deleting Posts That Express Support for ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin

Following Min Hee Jin's press conference, HYBE is believed to be deleting posts online that show support for the ADOR CEO.

A feud between HYBE Labels and Min Hee Jin, the CEO of subsidiary ADOR, has gone viral. HYBE claims that Min Hee Jin planned a scheme to seize full control of ADOR, the agency housing NewJeans.

They have requested an audit and a shareholder meeting with ADOR's board of directors. Min Hee Jin, however, has denied these claims, sparking internal conflict and public controversy.

Min Hee Jin Presscon: Netizens React To ADOR CEO's Public Statement

Following HYBE's claims that Min Hee Jin and other executives attempted to usurp the total management rights of ADOR behind HYBE Labels's back, the ADOR CEO held an emergency press conference at the Korea Conference Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The press conference was held on April 25, 2024, at 3:00 PM.

During the press conference, Min Hee Jin shed light on several things, including Bang Si Hyuk's treatment of her, how NewJeans was promised to debut as the first HYBE girl group only to have their debut pushed back, and how the NewJeans members are on her side.

Following the press conference, netizens were split. Some believed Min Hee Jin made valid points and agreed that it was unfair that LE SSERAFIM debuted first, despite the promise that NewJeans would debut as HYBE's first girl group.

They also noted how Bang Si Hyuk mocked her in texts and thought it was inappropriate how he asked her to "crush" aespa.

Others, however, agreed with HYBE Labels. They claimed that Min Hee Jin's relationship with NewJeans was inappropriate, as she is in her 40s and, as of writing, none of the NewJeans members are 20 years old.

Some claimed that while it was understandable why she was upset that NewJeans's debut was pushed back, the group ultimately did get to debut and is considered one of the biggest girl groups at the moment.

People claimed her actions were hurting NewJeans rather than helping them.

With the buzz over what was said, many people are taking to online community forums to voice their thoughts. However, it appears the narrative on these forums is being silenced and suppressed.

Is HYBE Deleting Posts Expressing Support for ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin?

On that same day, Korean netizens noticed that posts that voiced out support for Min Hee Jin were automatically flagged and regulated by an administrator. However, posts that showed support for HYBE were not given this same treatment.

This led people to speculate that the company was silencing individuals who were on Min Hee Jin's side.

This has sparked immense backlash against HYBE, with people stating they should put this energy into protecting their artists when they are getting bashed on rather than protecting the company's image. It was noted that several posts about NewJeans and other artists that had malicious intent were either not flagged or would be flagged hours later.

People are taking this as proof that HYBE has substantial influence on the media, meaning they can pay their way to get the results they want. Overall, it is a bad look for the company.
