After her exit from SM Entertainment, SNSD Sunny raised anticipation after her new profile photos circulated among SONEs.
What's the next plan for the K-pop icon?
Girls' Generation Sunny Looks Ethereal in New Profile Photos — What's Next for Idol?
On April 30, Sunny became a hot topic on theqoo after an internet user announced that the star changed her profile photo on Naver.
This immediately sparks curiosity among supporters, especially SONEs (Girls' Generation fandom), if the idol finally found her new nest to pursue solo activities.
On this day, the "Nation's Girl Group" SNSD member, Sunny, drew attention for her new official photos after leaving SM last year.
In her new snaps, the "Sky View" singer graced SONEs with her unchanging beauty in a cyan-colored outfit.
Contrary to her bubbly and vibrant image while active as SNSD, Sunny flaunted an elegant and classy atmosphere, resembling a chaebol daughter.
She also highlighted her bolder side by revealing her flawless thigh by wearing a dress with a half-slit.
When these photos spread on the internet, spectators who were closely looking at her next move after departing from SM showed excitement and were guessing if she was going to pursue her career under an existing label or if she would follow the steps of other idols who are starting their own agency.
There are also fans who are expectant for her solo debut album, which was long promised even before leaving her past company.
Here are some of the comments:
- "I miss Soonkyu."
- "Oh my gosh, is Sunny's gonna resume her activities? Wow, I really like it."
- "Which agency did she join in?"
- "Give us your solo, please. Your voice is so pleasant."
- "You're so pretty."
- "Wow, I guess she's gonna be active again."
- "Please work as a singer."
- "I hope Sunny establishes herself as a female MC. She speaks eloquently and is versatile."
- "Please give us your solo. Your voice is so good."
- "It feels like Sunny doesn't have many solo activities compared to the amount of talents that she has. Please do more activities."
Sunny Recent Activities
After being with SM Entertainment since 2017, Sunny left the label in August 2023 after 16 years.
At the time, there were speculations that she was preparing to join a new company, but it has been about nine months that she's continuing as an independent artist.
Her last official activity was the release of her digital single, "Sky View" on February 26th, the OST for "No Way Home," which is a camping variety show with her co-member Hyoyeon.
Fans are showing regret that it has been over two decades and she is yet to be given the opportunity to have a solo release, despite her top-tier singing abilities.
With her new profile photos, expectation is high if she will finally fulfill her solo debut album which is highly anticipated even before her departure from SM.
