Did ADOR Use Bots To Support NewJeans? Here’s What Happened

ADOR is now being accused of using boots to boost NewJeans’s activities.

The ongoing feud between ADOR and HYBE in the K-Pop industry has sparked controversy among fans, particularly concerning allegations of CEO Min Hee Jin's involvement in manipulating public opinion.

According to reports from several Korean media outlets, the dispute escalated with accusations of Min Hee Jin disclosing confidential contract details between ADOR and HYBE.

They were also accused of sharing sensitive information about artists, which could potentially damage their public image and safety.

Min Hee Jin reportedly did these ac were believed to be part of a strategic effort to pressure HYBE into relinquishing its 80% stake in ADOR, further fueling tensions within the industry.

Recently, attention has shifted towards accusations against ADOR in regards to their support for NewJeans. Some netizens have brought up concerns about the methods the company used to promote the brand.

On May 24, 2024, WWD Korea shared a post to their Instagram featuring NewJeans' Haerin and her latest promotion with Dior. As expected, it became a topic that amassed enthusiastic responses from fans.

However, an observant netizen pointed out a discrepancy in the comments, noting several comments referred to member Hyein instead of Haerin.

A tweet bringing this to attention quickly gained traction, garnering over 250,000 on X (formerly Twitter). There, many users accused ADOR of utilizing bots to manipulate public perception.

While there is evidence suggesting the presence of bots or fake accounts leaving comments, it's important to consider that ADOR may not be directly responsible for this activity.

Looking back on other posts on WWD Korea's Instagram page reveals similar patterns of robotic comments, even on posts unrelated to K-Pop idols. This highlighrs a broader issue with bot usage across social media platforms.

Given that bots often target accounts with large followings, it's likely that ADOR has no involvement in this matter. This showcases the complexities of navigating social media dynamics within the K-Pop industry.
