Former Hello Venus member Yoo Ara has shared an update.

On June 11, Ara uploaded a post on her official Instagram account, which explained her inactivity. According to her post, the idol has been diagnosed with cancer and went through surgery to remove a malignant tumor.

Ara addressed her absence and how it affected certain acquaintances, but assured that she plans to recover and minimize strain this 2024. Ara then encouraged everyone to take care of their health and that she would do her best to share updates.

Furthermore, Ara concluded the message by telling fans not to worry, as she simply wanted to convey her current status.

"Hello. This is Yoo Ara

How are you all doing? I'm writing this letter because I think a lot of people think that I died or something.

There have been many times when I felt tired and unwell. By chance through an examination, I found out that it was due to cancer. I was also diagnosed with the need for surgery, and urgently, I went through it to remove the malignant tumor, I took medicine, and rested as well (I can say I'm getting a lot better now).

Some people who knew, but there were also people who couldn't contact me and felt very sad, so I suffered a lot of heartache by myself. I would be so grateful if everyone I know and loves me would understand.

So far this year, I'm going to try my best to get back in shape and not stress myself out as much as possible.

Please, don't get sick, and always take care of your health!

Watch out closely for the heat. I will try to post updates often. Have a good night.

P.S. You might be really surprised by this news, but I didn't write this to worry you, and I just want to tell you that I'm doing well. Don't worry too much."
