Earlier on March 14, K-pop boy group NINE.i shared that the members, except Eden, were in a legal dispute against their agency FirstOne Entertainment. The group made headlines for using platform Bubble to announce their legal move against the agency.
"NINE.I is currently in a legal battle against FirstOne Entertainment," NINE.i shared. "We would like to apologize to i.ENIN for sharing this update, as they have always been with us."
The statement continued, "We assure everyone that the relationship between NINE.i members will not change. Furthermore, the current promotions of NINE.i in Japan will proceed as planned.
Since then, fans were worried about the status of the group. However, on June 12, NINE.i surprised fans with a new update on their official X (Twitter) account, which announced that the conflict has now been resolved.
According to the post, the statements were available in Korean, Japanese, and English. NINE.i first apologized to i.ENIN regarding the worrying situation. They added that the members were currently discussing their activities in the future.
NINE.i furthered that although the whole situation couldn't be elaborated in detail, the members assured that the dispute had already been settled. Moreover, they encouraged everyone to patiently wait for official notices and avoid speculation.
Read their full statement below:
"Hello. We are NINE.i.
First of all, we would like to say sorry to i.ENIN, who must have been worried.
All nine members of NINE.i are preparing for a new start together. We are currently discussing the direction of future activities, and we will announce it to i.ENIN soon.
We can't explain the situation fully, but we're here to inform you that it's been resolved well. Nothing has been decided on the direction yet, so please wait for the official notice and avoid reckless speculation.
Thank you."
On X (Twitter), some fans were startled with the surprise announcement and questioned the specific plans the group has in store. On the other hand, the majority were simply relieved that the group had confirmed their status and upcoming endeavors despite the obstacle.
"New start? Re debut? Lineup change?"
"Wait what is happening? I'm not sure I understand. I just want our guys back."
"Please for the love of all things give me my boys back."
"Miss you all so much don't worry sweeties we will wait for you love you all."
