BABYMONSTER talked about changes since their debut.
On June 16, 2024, BABYMONSTER appeared as guests on SBS PowerFM's "Park So Hyun's Love Game." The rookie girl group from YG Entertainment, which garnered much attention even before their debut, recently released their new song "FOREVER" on July 1, following their debut track "SHEESH."
When asked about their comeback after releasing their debut song, Rora shared her thoughts: "We came out with a different concept than 'SHEESH,' with different outfits and sets, so it feels new."
When asked how they felt compared to their debut, Rami said, "I think I'm more relaxed now. I was nervous back then because it was our debut." Asa added, "At first, I didn't know where to look for the camera, but now I'm used to it, and my gaze naturally finds the camera."
BABYMONSTER is currently embarking on their first fan meeting tour, "[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE]," spanning 12 shows in seven Asian cities. They will conclude with a grand finale on August 10 and 11 at Kyunghee University's Peace Hall in Seoul.
Rami hinted the girls will prepare a memorable show, saying, "Since it's the finale in Seoul, we are preparing even more diligently. Just come ready to have fun." Asa added, "We always have a special chant during fan meetings. I think Seoul will have a different feel."
They also talked about their live performance in Japan at the '[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE] IN JAPAN' event on July 11 and July 12 at Tokyo Ariake Arena. All 26,000 tickets, including additional seats opened upon fan request, were sold out. Rora shared her excitement, "We did it! It felt like an accomplishment, and we were so grateful to everyone who came to see us."
Japanese member Ruka shared, "My parents came to see the show, and it felt like a dream to perform where I was born. My parents said I looked cool." Asa, who is also Japanese, added, "My grandmother and cousins came too. They said they cried when they saw us on stage. Hearing that made me emotional and happy."
Reflecting on their fan meeting in Thailand, Thai member Pharita said, "It was very touching. Everyone cried during the ballad song. Since it was a song we released before our debut, the emotions were intense. I could clearly see my friends and family in the audience."
Chiquita, another Thai member, added, "My family said they could see me well, and I saw my mom crying during the performance."
They also shared how their lives have changed since their debut. Park So Hyun asked, "Do you have any stories where you realized, 'I'm really well-known now'?"
Pharita said, "When I went to Thailand, fans were waiting at the airport. I thought, 'Everyone knows me now,'" and laughed. Rora shared, "A company employee went to Thailand and saw our Pepsi ad. That's when I felt like we had really debuted."
Ruka said, "I heard our song while shopping and took a video with my face in the background. It happened in Korea and even in Japan!"
The members also shared their favorite items. Ruka mentioned, "I use a nasal inhaler that was gifted to me from Thailand. It's great for relaxation." Ahyeon said, "I always carry a butterfly hair clip. It grips well and holds my hair in place. It needs to have a good grip and be sturdy."
Asa talked about losing her wireless earphones multiple times and recently buying a bigger pair to avoid losing them again. Rora humorously added, "We lose our phones so often that we joked about needing to make them into bags."
