(G)I-DLE Miyeon Apologizes To BTS Jungkook

(G)I-DLE member Miyeon issued an apology to Jungkook of BTS, and the reason for this is hilarious!

Recently, (G)I-DLE member Miyeon appeared in a live stream with juniors RIIZE's Sohee, ZEROBASEONE's Sung Hanbin, and BOYNEXTDOOR's Jaehyun. With her previous experience hosting music shows, Miyeon shared many interesting stories during the live stream.

Notably, Miyeon mentioned a memorable incident involving BTS's Jungkook. She recounted, "At that time, senior Jungkook had just won the weekly trophy when it broke in half and rolled on the floor. At the time, I panicked immediately!"

This incident took place on July 7, 2023, when Jungkook won first place on "M! Countdown," with "Seven (feat. Latto)," surpassing NewJeans. After the results were announced, the trophy in Miyeon's hand suddenly broke and fell to the ground, causing a brief moment of panic for her. However, she quickly regained her composure.

Despite not being present at the time, Jungkook was aware of this "incident" and humorously acknowledged it on Weverse. He penned a message to fans that read, "ARMY, thank you for bringing me first place on M! Countdown! Thank you, everyone, I've been ranked first twice at M! Countdown! Hehe... Did you watch it live? I saw the trophy falling to the ground. Thank you so much!"

More than a year later, Miyeon took the opportunity to apologize to Jungkook while recalling the situation. She said, "Let me apologize again. It was such a memorable mistake!" Fans couldn't help but laugh over Miyeon's apology, noting how hilarious it was that the trophy broke in the first place and how apologetic she seemed over the entire incident.

In other news, (G)I-DLE released their seventh Korean mini-album, "I SWAY," on July 8. In the album, Miyeon is credited as a lyrcisit for "Neverland." The group is currently promoting their lead single, "Klaxon." In August, (G)I-DLE will be embarking on their third world tour, starting with two concerts in Seoul on August 3 and 4.

In March 2024, Miyeon was named the brand muse for Wakemake, a brand under CJ Olive Young. That same month, (G)I-DLE was featured in Jennifer Lopez's single "This Time Around."
