In a concerning development for fans of K-pop sensation aespa, Karina has been forced to miss today's scheduled performance at the "2024 aespa LIVE TOUR -SYNK: PARALLEL LINE- in JAPAN," which is being held at Asue Arena in Osaka.

SM Entertainment confirmed the news earlier today, citing health reasons as the cause for her sudden absence.

"Regarding the performers for '2024 aespa LIVE TOUR -SYNK: PARALLEL LINE- in JAPAN' held at Asue Arena Osaka on July 28th, aespa's member Karina will not be participating in today's performance due to health reasons, following a diagnosis from the doctors after the rehearsal.We deeply apologize for causing inconvenience to everyone who supports aespa and Karina and who looked forward to this performance. We ask for your understanding and patience." "Today's performance will proceed with Winter, Giselle and Ningning."

The statement expressed regret over the situation, apologizing to fans eagerly anticipating Karina's performance and requesting their understanding and patience. 

This news came less than two months after fellow aespa member Ningning was also absent from a scheduled performance due to health issues.

On June 2, Ningning missed the "K-WAVE" stage after experiencing symptoms of dehydration and exhaustion, which led to her being hospitalized and advised to rest.

"We inform you regarding Ningning's absence from the scheduled K-WAVE stage today. Ningning exhibited symptoms of dehydration and exhaustion during the rehearsal and immediately went to the hospital, where she was advised to get sufficient rest and recovery. We apologize for causing concern to fans with this sudden news and will prioritize the artist's health and safety, doing our best to ensure Ningning's recovery."

The string of health problems for aespa began earlier in May when Winter had to withdraw from several live stages of Mnet's "M Countdown," KBS 2TV's "Music Bank," and MBC's "Show! Music Core" due to complications following pneumothorax surgery.

Despite these setbacks, Winter participated in the group's full-length album comeback activities.

"Winter needs rest and stabilization due to condition issues, so only Karina, Giselle and Ningning will attend the live broadcast of 'M Countdown. Winter's participation in activities will be decided based on her recovery status."

Karina's health issues come as a significant blow to both the group and their fans, who have been concerned about the ongoing health problems affecting aespa members.

The situation has led to heightened anxiety among the group's supporters, who are keen to see all members return to their usual energetic performances.

aespa, who had traveled to Japan on July 26 for their overseas tour, had been expected to deliver a thrilling performance in Osaka.
