J.Y. Park's collab stage with Xdinary Heroes was met with incredulity.
On November 10, the JYP Entertainment founder and the rock band collaborated for a performance of "Easy Lover," J.Y. Park's latest single to mark his 30 years in the industry. He performed alongside Junhan and Jungsu, and all of them were clad in flamboyant black 'fits and accessories.
J.Y. Park, in particular, wore a long latex coat with feathered collar and long, fiery red hair. He even changed his demeanor to get into the rockstar character.
But as soon as photos and videos circulated on X (formerly Twitter), a huge wave of hilarity took over the platform, with some comically questioning how the JYPE founder remains active as a singer at his age.
"He wants to be a member [of Xdinary Heroes] so bad," said an X user.
Another one wrote, "[J.Y. Park] gotta be the [worst] photo bomber jfc."
"I had been prepared for the absolute slay of Jungsu and Junhan's looks (gorg)," another VILLAINS (Xdinary Heroes fandom name) said. "BUT NO ONE WARNED ME JYP WOULD BE WEARING THAT WIG. Jumpscared me a li'l, ngl."
Meanwhile, what caught fans' attention the most was that J.Y. Park's latest style supposedly resembled NCT Yuta during his "Fact Check" era — and this idea caused a hilarious uproar among NCTzens.
One wrote, "He tried so hard, but Yuta is one of a kind, this is his impact, everyone tryna be him."
Another NCTzen reacted, "yk how i used to have a thing for emo guys... yeah that's completely gone now."
