Netizens were amused by the usage of second-gen K-pop songs for the Malaysian prime minister's posts on Instagram.
On November 25, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim uploaded several posts on his official Instagram account, which recounted his meeting with Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and OCI Holdings in Seoul.
While the meeting made headlines due to Malaysia's investment support and Hyundai's expansion to the country's automotive ecosystem, netizens were instead focused on the account's usage of K-pop songs for its background music.
The Prime Minister has included songs such as Girls' Generation's "Gee," which was the pinnacle song of second-gen K-pop back then and propelled the "Nation's Girl Group" to stardom and success.
