The 2024 MBC Entertainment Awards, originally scheduled to air on December 29, has been rescheduled for broadcast for Lunar New Year.
The event had initially been scheduled to take place on December 29 but due to scheduling conflicts and a period of national mourning due to the Jeju Air crash, the event was canceled, as reported by OSEN.
Network MBC confirmed that the ceremony has been rescheduled for 2025's Lunar New Year, which falls on January 29, according to a report by OSEN on Thursday.
Following the national mourning period on January 4, the network intends to finalize the new date and details for the ceremony.
MBC has also announced the rescheduling of other programs, including MBC Drama Awards and MBC Gayo Daejejeon, originally planned for December 30 and 31.
The two awards shows were initially set to be broadcast live and were later switched to recorded formats.
MBC Drama Awards will be aired on January 5 at 5 PM KST, with official announcements on the exact 2024 MBC Entertainment Awards schedule to be announced at a later time.
