After getting heat for failing to dance to "Cheer Up" properly, KickFlip humbly bowed their heads to apologize to their senior group TWICE and their fans ONCEs.
On January 31, JYP Entertainment's rookie boy group hosted a live broadcast on YouTube to connect with their fans. Although the 41-minute livestream was held to create new happy memories with their supporters, one specific incident left a sour taste for many viewers.

Toward the end of the broadcast, the rookies addressed their recent Idol Radio guesting, where they played a "Guess the Song"-esque game. One of the hits they had to guess was TWICE's "Cheer Up."
Despite answering correctly, the rookies' attempt to perform it left much to be desired. Since KickFlip is a junior group of TWICE under JYP Entertainment, ONCEs were let down as their own rendition failed to meet expectations.
I feel so bad for them😭 The Onces who participated in the bullying were nasty for this. They didn't evem do that bad.

In the video, the KickFlip members sincerely apologized for not being fully aware of the dance they felt "they should have known." They explained they were nervous and quite unprepared since the songs were chosen randomly, as per theqoo.
Meanwhile, when their apology clip circulated across social media, fans from outside the KickFlip and TWICE fandoms were taken aback that the rookie group felt the need to issue an apology.

"Cheer Up" was released in 2016, while most members of KickFlip were born in 2006, making them merely 10 years old when the track first dropped.
The boy group's fans emphasized that, given the age gap, it's no surprise that the members' familiarity with the song is limited.
Many ONCEs also chimed in the heated discussion, attesting that TWICE's songs are meant to be enjoyed and not perfected.
I don't know what people are saying, but no need to apologize for dancing to a Twice song; have fun with it. As a ONCE, I'm happier that people are enjoying Twice than being some kind of Twice expert is my take.

Later on, KickFlip followed up their apology with a new video, where they dance to "Cheer Up" in perfect synchronization.

Nevertheless, KickFlip fans couldn't hide their anger at the ONCEs who criticized the boy group. Many also directed their ire at JYP, questioning why the boys had to apologize in the first place.
with twice members pushing their 30s I was expecting their fandom to be more mature and cool about it… not bullying 17yo boys on the internet until they apologize. this is soo unnecessary and embarrassing I hope you never forget this sht. my poor kickflip deserve better! https://t.co/X9wxRpUShh
