Ubermensch will mark the rapper's first album in more than 11 years following the release of COUP D'ETAT in 2013. Ubermensh, which translates to "superman" in German, points to a philosophical concept of a transformative individual who transcends societal norms.
Following the release of his new album, G-Dragon will launch a world tour of the same name. It will be his first world tour in over seven years. His last world tour was "Act III, M.O.T.T.E" in June 2017, which included 36 shows. His tour drew an audience of more than 650,000.
Furthermore, G-Dragon is scheduled to star on "Good Day," a new variety show from MBC, on Feb. 16. He will also appear in K-Star Spark to be held in Thailand on Feb. 22. K-Star Spark is a new concert focused mainly on K-pop.
G-Dragon's music career spans nearly two decades, beginning with his debut as the leader of BIGBANG in 2006. He debuted the solo album Heartbreaker three years later, earning him the "Album of the Year" award at the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Throughout his career, G-Dragon has received numerous accolades, including eight MAMA Awards, six Melon Music Awards, and two Korean Music Awards. He made history as the first and only solo artist to receive the MAMA Artist of the Year Award in 2013.
