“50 Shades of Grey” Movie Cast Rumors Speculate on Model Cara Delevingne; But for What Role?

“50 Shades of Grey” movie cast rumors are spinning out of control as fans scramble to keep one step ahead of “50 Shades of Grey” producers. The latest “50 Shades of Grey” cast rumor circulating is that the model, Cara Delevingne, auditioned for a part in the upcoming film adaptation of the erotic bestselling novel.

It is a mystery who Cara Delevingne will play, but “50 Shades of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson is rumored to want her in the film.

The 20 year old model, Cara Delevingne, is said to be a front-runner for “50 Shades of Grey” but not for the lead role of Anastasia Steele. Cara Delevingne was reported to have auditioned for a smaller part.

Cara Delevingne used to be the face of Burberry, but she acted in a small part in "Anna Karenina" from 2012, where she worked with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, husband of "50 Shades Of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson. The young beauty is said to be very excited to be considered for a part in the “50 Shades of Grey” movie.

The rumors focus on Delevingne playing Anastasia Steele’s best friend and roommate, Kate Kavanagh. In the book Kate is the character who is slated to interview Christian Grey for their school paper. When Kate gets ill she asks Anastasia Steele to go in her place. That’s how the relationship between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey begins. But Delevingne may also be in the running for the part of Christian Grey’s adopted sister, Mia Grey, or Leila Williams, used to be one of Christian Grey’s submissives. She might also have auditioned for the part of Christian Grey’s biological mother Ella, who appears in flashback scenes.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” will open in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
