Eminem New Album 2013: More Than 50 Fans Arrested at Eminem Concert at Slane Castle in Ireland; Sent to the Dungeon?

Eminem’s new album for 2013 still has a mystery release date and so do 50 Irish Eminem fans who were arrested at Slim Shady’s show at Slane Castle. I guess it’s a good thing they weren’t sent to languish in the dungeon.

Eminem played on as more than 50 Slim Shady fans were arrested at his concert at Slane Castle, Ireland on Saturday. Police said the majority of the crowd, which numbered about 80,000 people, behaved themselves. Behaved themselves? This was an Eminem show. Slim Shady must be growing up, in spite of some recent concert reviews. Slane Castle is about 30 miles north of Dublin.

The Press Association reported that 22 people were arrested at the Eminem show for disturbing the peace, or as they say in Scotland, the public order. Minor drug charges brought in another 35 Eminem fans. There were five assaults reported and one Eminem fan was stopped for driving under the influence.

Michael Devine, the superintendent of Slane Castle, said that most of the 80,000 Eminem fans were no trouble at all. The security for the Eminem concert included 500 local stewards and 750 police.

Police searched Eminem fans for alcohol, drugs and weapons at three different entrances. The security presence was in response to last year’s violence at a concert at Phoenix Park where nine people were injured.
Devine said, "The vast majority of fans heeded the advice given in advance of the event which ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience."

Eminem opened the show with his new single “Survival,” which was debuted as part of a trailer for a video game. Eminem then cruised through his history, offering 28 tracks to the crowd, including “My Name Is,” “Love The Way You Lie,” “Without Me,” “The Real Slim Shady” and “Stan.” Eminem closed the concert with 8 Mile hit, “Lose Yourself.”

Eminem moves on to Glasgow for his next show. He plays Bellahouston Park tomorrow night and is then the headlining act at the Reading And Leeds Festivals on August 24 and 25.
