Sony Vaio Pro 13 Is The Best Laptop In The World: Will Macbook Air Challenge The Ultimate Ultrabook?

The Sony Vaio Pro 13 is the best laptop you can buy according to Wired.com. Since it is known as the Ultimate Ultrabook, it  should be thin and lightweight. At  only 2.3 pounds with 13.3 inch screen, it's a full half pound lighter than the nearest rival, The Toshiba KIRAbook. It's only 18mm thick, right with the thinnest ultrabooks in the market.

With a Windows 8 touchscreen feature, the Pro 13 is clad in black carbon fiber. It felt so light, you'd think the battery was not installed. The battery was installed, of course, and it's non-replaceable as Sony is wont to do.

The features of the Pro 13 don't end with its externals. Sony has it packed with 4GB RAM and 1.6GHZ Core i5. It also has two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and an SD card slot, all standard among its rivals.

Perhaps the best feature of the Pro 13 is its battery life. It already has a remarkably light battery, so it was a pleasant surprise that it actually lasts longer than the competition at 6 hours runtime (most would only get 5). Also, boot time is at a record setting nine seconds considering it carries Windows 8.

For Macbook to beat this, they would need a screen upgrade, and match the battery life. Your move, Apple.
