Nexus 5 Release Date Nears As Nexus 4 Price Drops By $100; Available On Google Play Store

Rumors about Nexus 5 release date continue to dominate the mobile world, especially now that its predecessor gets a lower price.

It would not be hard for tech enthusiasts to deduce that Google Nexus 5 release date is already on the horizon since Google Play Store offers a $100 off for Nexus 4. Nexus 5 release date appears to become much more imminent with Google trying to clear its inventory of Nexus 4 before it launches its next-generation smartphone. The $100 off for Nexus 4 is available in Australia, Germany, Spain, UK, US, Korea, Canada and France.

Those who are interested to get Nexus 4 will be delighted to know that the 8 GB Android smartphone is now available for only $199, coming from $299 original price. Meanwhile, the 16GB is now offered at a price of $249, bearing a previous price tag worth $349. Nexus 4 is only available to two networks, the AT&T and T-Mobile.

Furthermore, it is rumored that the Nexus 4 successor, the Nexus 5 release date is set for fall 2013. While Google is yet to announce an official Nexus 5 release date, together with specs and pricing, experts are guessing an October or November launch for the Android smartphone.

As posted by PC Advisor, cited by Christian Post, "...It's highly likely that we'll see the new Nexus 5 arrive around a y ear after the Nexus 4, in October or maybe November. The Galaxy Nexus was announced in November and the Nexus S in December."

It is also still unclear whether LG (the creator of Nexus 4) or Google new subsidiary, the Motorola Mobility, will be in charge of the production of the next-gen Android smartphone.
