‘Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate’ Release Date For Xbox 360, PS3 Fixed For September 3; Tecmo Announces 2 VS 2 Tag Mode, New Character and Grade Point System

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate release date is already set for September 3.

The upcoming update for the fighting game franchise from Team Ninja will arrive soon to Sony PS3 and Xbox 360. "Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate release date for current generation of game consoles.

Aside from Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate release date for PS3 and Xbox 360 happening next week, Tecmo Koei, the game publisher also announced new features for the fighting game. As reported by Polygon, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will add two versus two tag battle mode in the online multiplayer. The developer promised that in this mode will be smoother and will require shorter wait times to find matches.

Furthermore, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will also introduce a new Grade Point System, which counts towards unlocking of new costumes. Tecmo Koei said that there are 231 costumes featured in DOA 5 Ultimate. Players can also earn Grade Points through the new Prize Fighter Ranking, a feature that rewards the players for winning online ranked battles consecutively.

Moreover, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, or DOA 5 Ultimate will offer a new feature called Character Point System. It is set to display the skill level of a player with each character from the DOA 5 Ultimate's expanded roster. Reportedly, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will include Leon and Ein from former DOA titles, Jacky Bryant from Virtua Fighter and Rachel and Momiji from Ninja Gaiden.

Apart from the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate release date occurring on September 3 for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3, another edition of the game will come later this year. Reportedly, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate release date for arcade edition is already set for winter 2013.
