LG G2 Specs, Price, Release Date: Special Button On Back Marks First Smartphone To Have Specialty That Will Be Available By Sept. 12

LG G2 Specs, price and release date include a special button on the back of the smartphone and a Sept. 12 release by Verizon and AT&T with no price-tag announced thus far.

It was reported that the LG G2 would be available to be preorder by Sept. 1, which means it's only a matter of days before the U.S. at least can find out the price for this new phone. The release date is official for those two carriers with still no official announcement for any other carriers.

The specs include a button on the back that gives the phone the distinction of being the first mass-released handset to come with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm.

"Our definition of innovation today is technology that truly resonates with consumers," Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile said a press conference on Aug. 7 that unveiled the new phone. "We have always listened to and learned from consumers in pursuit of innovation. We took this research to new heights in developing LG G2, the most exciting and ambitious phone in our company's history."
