Katy Perry New Album 2013 News: Roar MTV VMA Performance Premiers New Prism Single.  Katy Perry is also releasing a Roar music video on September 5. 

The Katy Perry Roar MTV VMA Performance from Katy Perry's new album for 2013 Prism showed the singer as a boxer in the ring.  She performed under the Brooklyn Bridge.

The new Katy Perry Roar Music Video has a jungle theme.  The singer tweeted a Tarzan-esque picture of herself to promote the Roar music video. 

Katy Perry released two new song snippets, Walking on Air and Dark Horse, from her new album Prism, after the Roar MTV VMA Performance.

Perry's new album, "Prism" will include collaborations with Sia Furler, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Bonnie McKee. In addition to the new Katy Perry single "Roar," other songs set to feature in the album are "Double Rainbow," "Bad Photographs," "It Takes Two," and "Unconditional".

Katy Perry became famous after her single "I Kissed A Girl" became a hit.  Katy Perry was the first female artist in history to produce five number-one hits from Teenage Dream, her third studio album in 2010.  "California Gurls,""Teenage Dream," "Firework," E.T.," and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) all hit topped the Billboard 100 chart.
