Upcoming Android Tablets 2013: LG Unleashes the G Pad 8.3 Tablet, the First 8" Device With Full HD Resolution

World-renowned display manufacturer LG Electronics has successfully developed an 8-inch tablet that has full HD resolution - and it will be hitting the stores before the end of the year.

The Korean company has recently unveiled its upcoming 8-inch tablet, the G Pad 8.3.

Packed with an impressive 1920x1200 display, LG claims that this is the world's first 8" tablet that features full HD display.

Aside from the crisp and vibrant colors of its screen, the G Pad 8.3 also packs a Snapdragon 600 chipset with quadcore capabilities. Each of its four cores run at 1.7Ghz, and the tablet uses 2GB of RAM for maximum performance. LG's new Android tablet also has 16GB of internal memory, and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.

For heavy tablet users, LG's G Pad 8.3 has a juice-packed 4.600mAh of battery.

However, the main disappointment here is the primary camera, which is only 5 megapixels. There is also a front camera that has 1.3 megapixels. LG should do better in this department if it wants to edge other popular tablets such as the Nexus 7 from the top spot.

Also unlike the Google tablet, LG's unit does not support LTE.

The LG G Pad 8.3 will hit the shelves around the world at the start of the fourth quarter until before 2013 ends.
