Mets VS. Nationals Online LIVE Stream: Watch Sunday Night Baseball 8 P.M. ET - Battle For Second As Final Month Of Season Begins

Mets vs. Nationals online LIVE stream: watch as two teams vie for the second place position in the N.L. East at 8 p.m. in Washington in what is the finale of the Sunday games in the MLB.

Starting for the Nationals vs. the Mets will be Ross Ohlendorf, who is 3-0 with 2.49 ERA. Watch the live stream online as the right-hander went five innings in his last outing against the Miami Marlins, giving up one earned-run.

Pitching for the Mets vs. the Nationals will be Jon Niese. Watch online LIVE stream as the right-hander who is 6-6 with a 3.69 ERA, looks to continue his better pitching of the second-half of the season.

"It gives you big hope," Mets manager Terry Collins told MLB.com. "We had huge expectations in the beginning of the season for Jon Niese."

Niese is 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA in four starts since coming off the DL on August 11.

Since the All-Star break, Ike Davis has built a .453 on-base percentage. In the last 13 games, Davis has hit three of his nine home runs, and Collins said before Saturday's game he was happy with his improvements at the plate since coming back from a Minor League stint in early July.

"He went down and worked on his plate discipline and he's gotten on base," Collins said. "One of the things, obviously, that I think has somewhat happened is I don't think he's gotten many pitches to hit. Everyone still knows he's very dangerous when he goes up there, and I think they're very careful with him. He's been good enough that he's taken the walks. He hasn't tried to go outside the zone and do anything. He's just said, 'If you're not gonna pitch to me, I'm gonna get on.' I think that's a really good sign.
