Amanda Bynes' Lawyer Insists Twitter Hacked: "She Has No Access To Computers" In Hospital

Amanda Bynes' lawyer says Amanda's Twittter account was hacked. The apparent Twitter re-emergence of Amanda Bynes last week was false, her lawyer says.

However, some say that this is a PR backtrack, and that Amanda may have somehow gotten access to a cell phone-perhaps from a visitor or another patient...before it was taken away by doctors.

Amanda Bynes is currently undergoing treatment in a psychiatric facility. Thus, Amanda's totally insane Twitter account has been silent...until recently.

The radio silence ended with a simple Tweet Saturday night, saying ""I love Drake".

Amanda has loved and hated Drake-and a lot of other people-in a series of bizarre Twitter rants recently. But her lawyer says the Tweet wasn't her, but a hacker.

Amanda's attorney, Tamar Armanak, said that Amanda has not been allowed internet access by her doctors. "Amanda's Twitter account has been hacked. She is at the UCLA Medical Center with no access to phones or computers," Armanak said.

Amanda has been hospitalized for mental health issues that resemble schizophrenia since July. She was transferred to UCLA from a facility in Ventura County, California.

Her hospital stay is expected to last for many more months...so we might have to wait a while to see what she's up to on Twitter.

A source close to Amanda said, "Doctors have been observing Amanda, and there has been some improvement ... However, her diagnosis is complex, and the appropriate drug cocktail to treat her hasn't been achieved yet."

They added, "Therefore, her treatment team believes Amanda would benefit from prolonged treatment at UCLA, for at least the rest of the year.

"She has her good days and bad days, and the goal is obviously to get her therapeutic and stable before being released."

Was Amanda's Twitter hacked or did she somehow get access to a cell phone-perhaps from a visitor or another patient? What do you think? Sound off below!
