Drake, known for songs like Started From the Bottom and his role on Degrassi Junior High, had a lot to say about the Kendrick Lamar control verse rap beef.  He spoke to Billboard about the Control verse rap beef and how he reacted.

"It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That's all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick's not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic."

"You know, I'm 26, I don't know what the fuck else I could be doing better than this. I feel incredible about how I'm able to support my family and friends and how supportive my family and friends have been of me."

Drake and Kendrick Lamar have actually worked together on the hot track Poetic Justice, so there can't be too much bad blood between them!

In the Control verse rap beef, Kendrick Lamar says of his hip-hop compatriots: "I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you niggas/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you niggas/ They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you niggas/ What is competition? I'm tryna raise the bar high/ Who tryna jump and get it? You better off tryna skydive."

Lamar has a lot to say about the current state of hip-hop music: "I've seen niggas transform like villain Decepticons/ Mollies'll prolly turn these niggas to fuckin' Lindsay Lohan/ A bunch of rich ass white girls lookin' for parties/ Playin with Barbies, wreck the Porsche before you give 'em the car key."

Kendrick Lamar's album Good Kid, m.A.A.d city has been a big hit in the hip-hop community.  Hit songs like Swimming Pools deal with deep issues, and Lamar generally eschews the materialistic trappings of bling rap.
