iPad Mini 2 Release Date Delayed Until Next Year: Apple’s Next Gen 7.9-Inch Tablet With Retina Display Arriving Q1 Of 2014?

iPad Mini 2 release date may arrive as late as Q1 of 2014.

A lot of Apple fans are already excited with the upcoming devices from the Cupertino-based tech firm including the mini iOS tablet. However, tech enthusiasts may have to wait a little longer for the iPad Mini 2 release date, since there are reports emerging about its delayed market release.

According to Glenn Yeung from Citi, as cited by G For Games, iPad Mini 2 release date, particularly the one with Retina display, may happen at some point in the first quarter of 2014.

Aside from saying that iPad Mini 2 release date may be delayed, Yeung also shared further details about Apple's market launch plans for its forthcoming devices. Yeung said that on the 2nd half of this year, Apple will offer a thinner and slimmer iPad 5. Meanwhile, the iPad Mini 2 will have a price cut, which according to the post, will probably be available for only $249.

Alongside an exact iPad Mini 2 release date, fans are also excited to know the official specs of the forthcoming tablet. From a list of key specs and features posted on Online Gadget Store, the iPad Mini 2 may arrive with a 7.9 inch touchscreen Retina display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution together with a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

iPad Mini 2 is also expected to be equipped with Apple A7 chipset and a dual core-processor, with PowerVT GP and a 1 GB of RAM. Moreover, primary camera will have 8 MP sensor while the front-facing camera gets 1.3 MP. The iPad Mini 2 will most likely arrive with Apple's latest operating system, the iOS 7.
