Nexus 5 Release Date Set For October 2013, A Year After The Arrival Of Its Predecessor; Abrupt Price Drop of Google's LG-Built Nexus 4 Signals Imminent Launch?

Nexus 5 release date rumors suggest that the upcoming Google smartphone will arrive anytime soon.

There are various signs pointing out the Nexus 5 release date is already on the horizon. Experts are suggesting that Nexus 5 release date may occur on October. International Business Times enumerated three of the possible reasons why tech enthusiasts might be able to experience Nexus 5 next month.

Nexus 5 release date will most probably be set for October, a year after Google introduced its predecessor, the LG-built Nexus 4. Furthermore, another sign that Nexus 5 release date is already looming is the unexpected price drop made to Nexus 4.

Google Play Store is now offering LG Nexus 4 at a price that is $100 cheaper than the original price, not requiring a two-year contract with a carrier. LG Nexus 4, 8 GB version is now available for only $200 while the 16GB model now comes with a price tag worth $250.

There are also insider tips about more information about the device as well as the Nexus 5 release date. One of these tips, posted on Taylor Wimberly's post on his Google+ account, suggested that Motorola will be in charge of the production of the Nexus 5.

Also, Android, Google's operating system will celebrate its fifth anniversary this year, and as part of the commemoration, a new hardware, such as the Nexus 5, together with the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS, will most probably be launched by the internet search giant.
