American Horror Story Season 3 Coven Filming Update: Executive Producer Tim Minear Talks Ryan Murphy And The Cast

"American Horror Story: Coven" is filming in New Orleans, and season 3 is expected to impress with a witching cast, and executive producer Tim Minear sat down with Huffington Post to talk about working with Ryan Murphy and the upcoming season.

"He is a visionary. Love him or hate him, he knows what he wants to do. He takes your dreams and he puts them in your TV. That's what he does. That's really the thing that makes this whole thing possible," says Minear regarding working with Ryan Murphy on "American Horror Story."

"Horror is about dreams and heightened states. It really is about taking away the logic on some level and getting right to the emotion of something. Now, you have to have some kind of logical scaffolding or you will lose the audience entirely. And we probably have lost a lot of people. And we've also made love to many."

For season 3, "Coven" promises to take the witches subject and avoid the tropes and clichés.

"I think this year, we're finding ways for threads that feel like they might be B and C stories to actually start to rotate closer to the A story. And everything starts to turn into a black hole of fun imploding in on itself," continues Minear regarding season 3 "Coven."

Currently, "American Horror Story: Coven" is filming in New Orleans with its illustrious cast which include Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Jamie Brewer, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, and Denis O'Hare.

Today, "American Horror Story" season 3 is reportedly filming at Jackson Ave. and Chippewa St. in New Orleans, according to OLV.
