Meanwhile, the sucesss of Mojang's hit indie game is also undeniable. According to Mojang, citing a post from IGN, Minecraft has already sold a total of 33 million copies across all its available formats. It follows the news about the original PC version of Minecraft already reaching the 12-million sales milestones.

When it comes to Minecraf PS4 price, an official announcement has not yet been made although according to a post from The Examiner, it may be similar to the price of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, available for $19.99. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was released on the Xbox Live Marketplace in 2012.

As for more news, about Minecraft PS4, the game will only have a digital download at launch. It can be purchased digitally on the PlayStation Store, obviously for the PS4 console, only.

Unlike Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, which was published by Microsoft Game Studio, Minecraft PS4 Edition will be published by its game creator and developer, Mojang.
