Pirates keen to get their hands on an apparently leaked free online version of Grand Theft Auto V are being hit with a Trojan virus hidden in the file, MCVUK writes.

TomsGuide reports that a file masquerading as a PC version of Rockstar's game - which, in fact, does not exist as the game is currently only scheduled for PS3 and Xbox 360 - actually installs a version of Double Fine's The Cave, MCVUK also writes.

Rockstar Games is rumored to add a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 by the end of the year or the beginning of next year.

VG24/7 contends that a Grand Theft Auto 5 pre-load file leak suggests its October 1 release date version will be a 18GB download.

Rockstar has released a new trailer online, showing off a range of activities, from team skydiving to shootouts, but Grand Theft Auto 5 will also allow users to build Minecraft-like racetracks around the city.

The game's racetrack-building feature is rumored to draw in millions of fans of the block placing game.
