A new promo trailer for "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 episode 1 was released ahead of the September premiere air date. The premiere trailer reveals who meets the mother of Ted's children first in the cast of "How I Met Your Mother."

The latest CBS promo for "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 shows more footage of the mother (Cristin Milioti) than any of the other promo trailer videos for the premiere. We learn that Lily (Alyson Hannigan) is the first of the group to meet the mother, but they don't become instant besties, ScreenCrush.com reports.

In the 31-second promo trailer clip for the "Mother of all Mondays," a few seconds is shown of fresh footage of the hour-long "How I Met Your Mother" season 9 premiere, "The Locket" / "Coming Back." Lily is revealed to be the first of the cast to meet the mother on the train, most likely heading towards the Farhampton wedding of Robin and Barney.

Unfortunately, Lily and the mother don't appear to get along all that well. ScreenCrush.com speculates that Lily ends up on the train to get away from Ted's obsessive road-trip planning.

Looks like Ted and his future bride have something in common already!

As we previously reported, CBS revealed that all four regular cast members (Lily, Marshall, Robin, and Barney) would meet the mother prior to Ted, and all will do so in a way that matches their own character's personalities.

Season 9 premieres on September 23 on CBS.
