One Direction’s Liam Payne – a superhero without cape. This is how one of the singer’s fan described him after saving one of his childhood friends during a fire on the 1D’s singer home.

Last Monday night, the 20-year-old Payne was hosting a party on his London home when the accident occurred.

According to MailOnline, Andy Samuels, Liam Payne’s friend, was on the balcony during that time trying to re-fuel the outside heater.

The fire started when something went wrong with the outside heater causing it to start a fire in the singer’s balcony.

Immediately after the fire broke out, Liam’s best friend was caught on fire and the entire balcony of Liam’s home.

During the party, about 30 people were reportedly in the house with Liam. Almost all of them were unharmed, including One Direction’s Liam Payne. However, three were reportedly injured including Andy Samuels.

Laurie Kenny, station manager of the East London firehouse, reported to The Mirror, “Firefighters worked quickly and professional to get the fire under control as quickly as possible. About 30 people left the building before we arrived and were not injured. Two of the occupants had superficial burns to their hands and the third had burns to his hands and face. All three have been taken to the hospital."

When the fire started, Liam was reportedly in the kitchen and quickly came to his friend rescue when the fire started.

Andy Samuel’s stepfather, Matthew Baker, told The Mirror how the event occurred and how Liam came to the rescue.

Matthew Baker said, “The lantern just exploded as Andy was lighting it and he took the full force of the flames. Liam helped him by beating out the flames and dousing him with water. He acted quickly and swiftly.”

The stepfather further added, “What happened was absolutely awful. My son is very poorly. I’ve spoken to Liam on the phone and he told me exactly what happened. It’s bad enough but it could have been a lot worse.

Liam immediately came with his friends to the hospital after the horrific accident. His friend, Andy, is still in the hospital and is reported to have suffered 20-degree burns in the upper portion of his body. 80% of the singer’s balcony, however, have been destroyed.

Just hours after the event, the hashtag #Prayforandy was trending on Twitter. Many fans have been praising Liam for his heroic act and even considered him as a superhero “without cape”.

Andy’s girlfriend, Daisie Smith, continuously updated her twitter for updates on Andy’s condition.

Her latest update states, “Thank you so much for all your lovely messages and prayers. On behalf of Andy’s family and I we’d like you to know he is in a stable condition.”

Before the horrible event occurred, One Direction’s Liam Payne reportedly said to Harry Styles on the band’s “This Is Us” concert movie that he wishes to be a firefighter because he “likes the idea of saving someone.”

Looks like the Liam Payne’s dream came true, as he was able to save his friend life from a possible terrible event.
