Lamar Odom has finally succumbed to all the intervention efforts around him. Despite reports to the contrary, it was confirmed that he DID check in to a rehabilitation center. Meanwhile, a New York based drug dealer has alleged that the former Los Angeles Clipper/Laker has bought $16,000 of cocaine from him.

The dealer who has requested to remain anonymous claims that on Feb. 10, Odom was in New York for a Clippers road game against the Knicks and also spent the next week (the NBA's All Star Break) in New York as well at which time he made the purchase. He has known Odom for three years now, and the latter has purchased almost 50,000$ worth of cocaine from him in that period.

While that accusation cannot be confirmed at this time, what is confirmed is that Lamar Odom did check in to a rehabilitation center last Wednesday. Contrary to a report from TMZ.com which stated that Odom didn't check in, representatives from the rehab facility has affirmed the player's presence. However, it was also reported that he checked out a day after with an assistant.

Lamar caved in to various intervention efforts by his wife Khloe and the Kardashian family. There were also efforts made by his former teammates from both the Clippers (his most recent team) and the Lakers (where  he had the most success).While the Lakers have denied giving a formal offer for Lamar, it was a possibility due to his injury woes. Many players and coaches in the NBA still believe that Lamar Odom can still be a contributor in the NBA.

Khloe Kardashian has yet to make a comment, and Odom's location is yet undisclosed. The saga continues...
