In a poll that started August 26, Fuse TV is asking fans around the world to vote for the Best New Artist.

The original list had been narrowed down to 72 hot musical acts in a dozen different genres, and after the first round of voting, K-Pop superstar G-Dragon has made the cut.

Initially competing in the 'International Pop' category, the Big Bang leader went up against his fellow label-mate and the dynamic leader of girl group sensation 2NE1, CL.

With fans around the world having done their part by casting votes for their favorites, the leaders of each category have moved into the second round of voting.

Now lumped into the broader category of Pop and Dance music, G-Dragon is up against some stiff competition.

Katy Perry's songwriting partner Bonnie McKee and former X Factor contestants Fifth Harmony, along with electro-house artist Krewella, join G-Dragon in a battle of the fans to see which of the four will move on to the final three.

Voting for Fuse's Best New Artist poll will close at 8AM EST on Wednesday, September 18. The victors of each category will be announced later that night on the network's Fuse News.  The third round of voting will kick off after the show ends at 8:30PM EST.
