Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) Is Evil!! Call For Boycott From Politicians, Conservatives And Animal Rights Activists Abound

The biggest game in history is also the most criticized. Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) has received boycott demands from almost every activist group and even politicians in office.

Rockstar Games used the name "Hawick" on a district of the fictional city of Los Santos. Harwick is also the name of small Scottish town (the game creators are from Scotland, after all). This caused the town officials to take offense. As they believe it gives the wrong impression about their small, peaceful town. Hawick Councillor David Paterson said;

"I am horrified that they have put Hawick in a game like that. Hawick is a lovely place and to see them do that is ridiculous. I'm totally disgusted. I've never even seen a gun in my life."

A US Senator, no less, has also called out "GTA V."

It all began with the Sandy Hook killings and the nationwide call for gun control. The NRA (National Rifle Association) as they are wont to do, blazed in fury quoting the Consitutional Right to bear arms. They also mentioned that guns themselves are not to blame. Instead, it's the video game industry who's at fault.   U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, agreed with the NRA and had a more specific target: "Look at Grand Theft Auto, put out by Rockstar Games in New York City and see what it promotes. Shouldn't that be looked into and maybe be banned?"

GTA V allows players to 'interact' with the animals in the game. This incited animal rights group "In Defense Of Animals" to declare on TMZ: "Grand Theft Auto V" crossed the line by allowing game-playing children to run over, behead and kill animals... animals don't need any more targets painted on them in the name of fun."

Finally, Atheist leader and Anti-religion advocate Peter Hitchens had this statement:  "If the Devil had his own bible, it would probably take the form of a computer game. It would be sly and witty, enjoyable and slick. It would start with small, almost funny misdeeds. It would offer the player the joys of money, successful violence and easy, responsibility-free sex."

He says this game already exists in GTA V. Strange for one who's anti-religion to quote the devil, but he implores action against video games in general.
