MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 Release Date: After iMac Update And OS X Mavericks Launch Rumors, Haswell-Powered Laptops Will Def. Arrive 2013

MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 release date is an event that has to happen, at least according to the numerous rumors and claims plus a host of actions that Apple is doing to hint that the new MacBooks are indeed coming. The recent iMac update and the rumored release date of the OS X Mavericks prove that we will the new MacBook Pros this year.

Apple has just recently updated its all-in-one iMac desktop computers with upgraded specs, namely the very chipset that the new MacBook Pros are expected to have. All iMacs now has the Intel Haswell fourth-generation processor. This means that between the MacBook Air, iMacs and MacBook Pros, it’s the latter that does not have the Intel Haswell processors in the current models available.

Similar to how the iMacs was released, it’s a possibility that unlike some launch dates where the date of announcement and availability has a gap of several days to months at a time, the upcoming MacBooks Pros could be available right after the announcement.

Another proof that we can see the MacBook Pros this year is the upcoming release of the OS X Mavericks, which recently had its eight developer preview recently. Many are pointing to an October 15 release for the company’s flagship OS and reports have also indicated that together with the OS X Mavericks, which has been announced by the Apple last June at the WWDC conference, it will launch the new line of MacBook Pros.

Since Apple does not comment on future releases, dismissing them as rumors, many industry insiders and tech watchers rely on past releases as benchmark on how the future holds for several devices. The launch of the Haswell-powered MacBook Air can then be a reliable guidepost in predicting what we can expect of the MacBook Pro version.

According to the International Business Times, the 2013 MacBook Air boasts more than 12 hours of battery life with the new chipset. If the same new battery life is applied to the MacBook Pro, we are expecting a jump from its current seven hours of battery life to 12 hours. As the Business Times reported, MacBook Pro users can now expect a full day of work without needing to charge their Apple laptop.

Another rumored spec for the new MacBook Pros is faster wi-fi. MacBook Air offered 802.11ac WiFI, which basically means faster connectivity. If the same WiFi configuration comes to the new MacBook Pros, we will only see faster connectivity and better online performance for the flagship laptop.

The recently released MacBook Airs offers additional storage with faster performance. The trend is expected to continue on its MacBook Pro counterpart, upgrading it not only in speed but also in storage capacity.
