Michelle Beadle Show Cancelled: 'The Crossover' Last Barely More Than Six Months - Can Anyone Compete With ESPN?

Michelle Beadle show cancelled: "The Crossover" is done less than a year from the time it launched on NBC Sports Network.

The show featured Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs, formerly of Fox News Channel and CSN New England. It was a show that focused on sports, pop culture and entertainment. A few months later and a few months before it was cancelled, "The Crossover" with the former "Sports Nation" host by herself, thus getting rid of Briggs.

"Crossover is donzo. Thanks 2 the crew who tried their damnedest. I'll let ya know what's next. Access Hollywood on NBC- Blake Shelton 2nite," Michelle Beadle tweeted to make the announcement herself that the show had been cancelled.

As she tweeted, she is still a part of "Access Hollywood" as a co-host. She has been there since she left ESPN for NBC in May of 2012.

This cancellation could show how hard it is to compete with ESPN on all aspects of sports. Once known as Versus and OLN, now the NBC Sports Network has tried and still tries to compete. CBS Sports Network has made the same attempt as well the debut of FOX Sports One. NBC tried to bring in a start that was made on ESPN, but it ended up not lasting as long or as well as it might have expected.
