Demi Lovato Glee Season 5 Spoilers: The first episode of Glee Season 5 just premiered, and Demi Lovato fans are excited to see the star in a new role.

Demi Lovato is going to play a struggling friend in Glee Season 5 - a role that she has experience for since she went to rehab for eating disorders and cutting. 

Even though the first episode of Glee season 5 has already aired, the Glee cast is still working on more episodes.  Lea Michele tweeted photos from the Glee set as they worked on the highly anticipated season. Each photo showed highly anticipated guest stars Adam Lambert and Demi Lovato. "On set now with the amazing @ddlovato, adamlambert, @chriscolfer & @NayaRivera! #gleeseason5," she wrote along with the photo of the five stars.

The photos were  likely taken while the Glee cast was filming Season 5, Episode 4: "A Katy or a Gaga." Since they're backed by a band and each in front of a mic stand - Demi is even playing a guitar - it looks like they are filming one of the show's trademark musical numbers. There is speculation that the Glee cast might even do their own version of Katy Perry's new single Roar, off her new album Prism.

Demi Lovato is a new face for Glee Season 5 after the untimely death of star Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson, from a drug overdose.  The Glee cast has been a part of tributes to their costar, and actress Lea Michele, who dated Monteith, has struggled with her grief over the loss.  A new deleted scene with Cory Monteith will be released with the Season 4 DVD.
