‘Man Of Steel’ Star Says Justice League Movie A Real Project; Henry Cavill Auditioned For James Bond, Twilight Prior To Superman Role

Henry Cavill catapulted into superstar status after playing the iconic "Man Of Steel" role. He admits it wasn't easy, and reveals losing out to other Brits for choice roles. He also says that Justice League is a real project.

In an interview with ABC News, Cavill admitted that the idea of a DC super team up was analyzed:  "Justice League could be great if done correctly," said Cavill. "It's a very tough one to do because the DC Comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real-world universe, real-world setting we're telling our story in, it's going to be tough to achieve that. It has to be done very delicately, with a lot of thought. So, it won't be right away. I hope it's not, anyway. It may take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another."

As the new flagship hero for DC, Cavill admits that casting was quite a challenge for him. Robert Pattinson beat him twice-for the Edward Cullen lead in "Twilight" and Cedric Diggory in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." He was also one of the Brit hunks who auditioned for James Bond. Daniel Craig won the part, as we all know.

He bared his strict workout regimen to transform into Superman. In an ABC News report, trainer to the stars Mark Twight shares: "What we are trying to do is use physical means to basically prepare a person or change them in a psycho physical way so they can actually play a role in this context. So you need a guy to look like Superman? It will be better if he feels super in order to transmit that message.

I would have to say that Henry turned into a man on this show. And not only in terms of physically, he made enormous changes, but in the way that he carried himself in relating and adapting to other people."
