New Android Phones 2013: LG Releases Entry-Level Dual-Sim Phone For Aussie Carrier Optus

For quite some time now, LG has been the bitter rival of Samsung both in their homeland, but also in the smartphone world. Now, it plans to penetrate as many markets as possible with this new device. If you are located in Australia and you're looking for new Android phones for 2013 but on a tight budget, here's LG Optimus L2 II.

Retailing at AU$99, this dual-sim phone is a neat phone that is perfect for consumers who are planning to get their first Android device. The budget Droid will be offered through Aussie carrier Optus.

According to GSM Arena, if you get the phone from the carrier's website, it would be delivered to your address after 3-5 business days.

The Optimus L2 II's primary sim slot will be locked with Optus, while the other only supports 3G, calls and texts. If you choose to unlock the first sim card slot, you will need to pay AU$80 for first-time subscribers, while those who already have at least six months of pre-paid subscription would only shell out AU$25.

In case you are interested, the LG Optimus L2 II dual-SIM features a 3.2" IPS display with QVGA (240 x 320) resolution, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 3MP camera.
