Casey Kasem Family Feud: Children, Brother, Friends Protest Outside L.A. Home To See Radio Legend With Parkinson's Whose Wife Won't Allow Them Too

Casey Kasem family feud: Legendary radio legend had three of his children, brother and friends protest outside his Holmby Hills estate in Los Angeles Tuesday in order to simply see him.

For the past three-plus months, the family feud has been going on because according to the protestors, Jean Kasem has not allowed them to see her husband Casey. Jean is his second wife and not the mother of the three children protesting, but they said that whenever they go to the home, she won't let them in.

The Casey Kasem family feud has reached a boiling point that they demand to see their loved one. Kasem, the man who hosted American Top 40 franchise shows called Casey's Top 40, Casey's Hot 20, and Casey's Countdown, has been suffering from advanced Parkinson's disease.

"He can't really speak, but he knows we're there. And last time we saw him, he could shuffle a little bit. He had a hard, very hard, time walking. He was just deteriorating due to Parkinson's disease," Kerri Kasem, one of three children protesting, told KABC.

Casey's brother, Mouner Kasem, added, "I've got a feeling I might not see him again, and that's why I'm here."

TMZ reported that Jean Kasem, who played Loretta Tortelli on Cheers, called the police on the protesters. Jean, who married Casey in 1980, hasn't spoken about the situation. Jean and Casey have one daughter, Liberty.

Kerri told the Daily News this isn't about money. "We don't want any money from Jean. We don't care about that. We were raised well, and we support ourselves."

Casey Kasem was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame radio division in 1985. From 1969-2005, he played the voice of Shaggy on almost a dozen different versions of the Scooby Doo T.V. shows.
