Android 4.4 Kit Kat Features: Rumored Screenshots Of New Android Version Released, Shows Instagram-Like Camera UI [PHOTOS]

Last month, Google announced its upcoming Android version 4.4 a.k.a Kit Kat. Since then a lot of bloggers and analysts have been pointing to a release this month, together with the company's new Nexus 5 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet. There are a number of notable Android 4.4 Kit Kat features which have been making rounds in the past few weeks. These alleged screenshots of a Kit Kat-powered device give us an idea.

A tech blog has allegedly conducted a hands-on of the upcoming Android version. As reported by Phone Arena and GSM Arena, Gadget Helpline was able to get some screens while the OS runs in a Nexus 4.

From the version name which is Key Lime Pie, we can assume that the build may have been several months old before Google unveiled KitKat.

Some new features include an integrated Printing and Payments system to support wireless payments through NFC. In addition, there is also Miracast which allows your device to screencast videos to your TV.

As mentioned by GSM Arena, UI changes are minor, though transitions and animations are much smoother this time.

The camera now has features which resemble that of Instagram. Filters can now be viewed even before you apply them to your shots. In saving photos, there are now options to save it as PDF, or print it to a local printer.

Google's newest Android version will be launched on October 14th, allegedly alongside the LG-developed Nexus 5, and Asus-manufactured Nexus 10.
