"Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning" is now available as one of the PlayStation Plus free games on Sony's Instant Game Collection this October.

This week, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was added to the list of PlayStation Plus free games available only for the subscribers of the program. This fantasy action role-playing game was developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games.

As reported by Joystiq, the State of Rhode Island will auction off Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and other 38 Studios' franchises next month, beginning November 14.

As for more report about PlayStation Plus free games, members of the program should expect other free titles this October such as Team ICO's action-adventure game,  "Shadow of the Colossus" and "Hotline Miami," a 2D top-down action game from Dennaton Games. Other PlayStation games to watch out for are "Sine Mora" and "Poker Night."

Aside from the arrival of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning as one of the PlayStation Plus free games, the recent update also highlighted discounts offered to various games like the Flashback HD, which was developed by VectorCell and published by Ubisoft. However, aside from a cheaper Flashback HD, there are more games and bundles offered this week with a discounted rate such as "Jeopardy", "Wheel of Fortune", "MX vs. ATV: Alive", "Red Faction: Armageddon" and "Darksiders 2."
