Sarah Michelle Gellar arrived at the hospital minutes before giving birth and was not able to receive an epidural.

"I think I yelled so loud that I actually fractured my jaw. True story, I had to have surgery afterwards... from biting down," she told late night host David Letterman.

Ouch. That just adds pain to what is already ridiculously painful.

The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star apparently wasn't slaying any vampires-but she yelled enough to wake the dead.

"I felt so badly (for screaming), I thought there was going to be some woman down the hall giving birth to their first child hearing this going, 'I'm not doing this'."

Gellar is the mother of two children, Charlotte, who was born in September 2009, and Rocky, who was born in September 2012.
